John Terry is weighing up an offer from Championship side Aston Villa, according to The Guardian.
However, the report suggests the 36-year-old defender still believes some Premier League sides will come in for him as he contemplates his next move after leaving Chelsea.
John Terry returned to the Premier League champions’ training base at Cobham this week to maintain his fitness before the expiry of his last contract at the club on 30 June
Aston Villa’s city rivals, Birmingham, have also made clear their intention to make him a marquee arrival this summer, with the manager, Harry Redknapp, pushing his credentials to the Championship club’s board.
The Villa owner, Dr Tony Xia, was asked about Terry’s potential signing by a supporter on social media on Wednesday and responded: “Quoted Jose M. ‘I am not going to talk about a player who still belongs to another club’ as JT’s contract with CFC expires until 1/7.”
